Most Christians don't seem to realize that persecution is a family issue facing the entire Body of Christ....

"As I have traveled across Canada, I have increasingly become aware that the clear teachings of Scripture concerning persecution are either ignored or misunderstood by many Christians. Rarely is persecution or the cost of discipleship mentioned from the pulpit. Passages that explicitly speak about persecution are reinterpreted, despite their context, to refer to suffering in general. Seminaries and Bibles Colleges generally don't train our leaders to examine the issue either hermeneutically or theologically. I know mine didn't. The result is a generation of believers who tend to see the persecution of Christians as a thing of the past, a present-day anomaly, or primarily the special interest of a few dedicated individuals rather than a family issue facing the entire Body of Christ. The Persecuted Church Studies program is one way we hope to change this."

-Glenn M. Penner

The Persecuted Church Studies program is an educational ministry of The Voice of the Martyrs dedicated to carrying on the ministry started by Richard Wurmbrand of:

  1. Developing and propagating a biblical theology of discipleship,
  2. Understanding and researching current realities of Christian persecution around the world, and
  3. Equipping believers for active ministry to the Persecuted Church in Canada and around the world.

We accomplish this by offering a number of courses in a variety of formats ranging from evening seminars to full-day or weekend conferences to full semester courses taught at a graduate level. Some of these courses can even be conducted together in a series of meetings.
