Why am I not getting the
Persecution & Prayer Alert
after signing up?

You've subscribed to the Persecution and Prayer Alert and you're looking forward to receiving it the next Wednesday ... but it doesn't come. Why not?

If you signed up at a meeting, then it's possible it didn't get entered into the system yet because the VOM Representative hasn't returned to the office yet. Give it another week or two.

If you signed up online, then there's a few possibilities to look at:

1. You should have received a confirmation email from us with a link you needed to click on. If you don't, you are not yet subscribed. If you did not receive that email, check your junk mail or contact our webmaster.

2. You may have made a typing mistake on your email address when you subscribed using our online form. If you are wondering if this may have happened, feel free to contact our webmaster. He can look it up for you and see if there's something close to your email address in our system. With thousands of subscribers on our list now, everything is automated and no one will see the mistake. As such, emails will not go through if they are typed incorrectly. If you are not sure, try subscribing again. If you're already in our system, you will receive a message saying so. You will not get subscribed twice. And the system is also set up to automatically remove bad email addresses after trying a certain number of times, so you do not have to worry about the wrong address being in there clogging up our system.

3. If you're using Hotmail, Gmail, or one of the other free email providers, you may want to check your junk mail folder. If you find our email in there, you should be able to specify that this email is not junk mail and it will go into your inbox from then on.

4. If you have anti-spam software installed on your computer, or if your email provider is using anti-spam software, it may be catching our Alerts and calling them spam, since it is an automated email. You'll have to specify that this email is not spam. You may have to specify to your anti-spam software that emails from noreply@persecution.net as not spam, as this is the addresses from which the Persecution and Prayer Alert is sent.

5. If you are using anti-spam software that requires the sender to answer and tell you that a message is not spam, this will likely not work with our system and you will not receive the Alerts. You would be surprised how many emails are sent to you automatically by computers that you want, and the Persecution and Prayer Alert is one of them. Our email server is not able to respond to such reply messages and thus our emails will be blocked by your software. If you can manually enter an email address in your software, specifying which addresses are not to be rejected, enter the email address given above and it should work. If you cannot, you will have to subscribe to the Persecution and Prayer Alert with a totally different email account or remove the anti-spam software from your computer.

If you are continuing to have problems and this does not seem to answer your question, don't hesitate to contact our webmaster. He is there to assist you.
